Everything You Need to Know
Product Care Information:
Our handmade soap, shampoo and conditioner bars are made with skin loving natural oils and butters, and none of the nasty hard to pronounce ingredients. Because of this It's important to look after your bars so they can look after you. Keep your bar dry between uses, this ensures they stay firm and don't become soft. Using a well draining soap dish or dock block will ensure your bar is kept dry and allows complete drying when not in use. If irritation occurs discontinue use. Avoid contact with eyes.
How to use a Shampoo Bar:
Option 1 - wet hair and hands, rub bar between your hands to create lather then return bar to a well draining soap dish. Use the product on your hands to massage into your hair and scalp then rinse, follow with a conditioner bar for soft and silky hair.
To reduce build up of product a weekly diluted apple cider rinse is recommended

Option 2 - wet hair then run the shampoo bar over your scalp and down to the tips of your hair, repeat all over your head then return the bar to a well draining soap dish. Massage the shampoo into your scalp then rinse, follow with a conditioner bar for soft and silky hair.

All shampoo bars containing clays have been independently tested by women who have bleached blond hair, this testing has confirmed that no colour transfer onto coloured hair.
Shampoo bars are a mild soap formulation for hair, contact with eyes should be avoided.

Shampoo Bar Ingredients:
Dry Hair Shampoo:
Canola oil: Gives a nice creamy lather and is moisturising
Olive Oil: Softens hair and prevents loss of moisture.
Coconut Oil: Cleansing and gives the bar slight lather.
Castor Oil: Replenishes & Hydrates, provides long lasting bubbles.
Cocoa butter: Reduces hair loss, provides moisture, and acts as a natural conditioner.
Sunflower Oil: Helps to retain moisture, high in Vitamin E, A, C and D.
Apple cider vinegar: Makes the bar gentle on your hair and scalp. ACV is a known anti-inflammatory, and can prevent bacteria growth.

Oily Hair Shampoo:

How to use a Conditioner Bar:
Fine hair: Swipe the conditioner bar over your scalp from root to tip of your hair, massage into the tips then rinse.
Dry, Coloured or Damaged hair: Swipe the conditioner bar over your scalp from root to tip of your hair, massage into the tips and leave in your hair for 2 -3 minutes then rinse.

Oily hair: massage into the tips of your hair then rinse.

Conditioner Bar Ingredients:
BTMS 80 High conditioning, palm oil free.
Cetyl alcohol: Lubricates and softens, Palm free.
Steric acid: Conditioning and provides firmness to the bar, palm oil free.
Almond oil: Helps hair appear stronger, softer, and shinier.
Coconut oil: Stimulates hair growth.
Castor Oil: Replenishes & Hydrates.
Grape seed oil: High in vitamin E and antioxidants.
Argon oil: Promotes the growth of healthy, strong hair.
Cocoa butter: Provides moisture, and acts as a natural conditioner.
Mango butter: High levels of antioxidants, vitamins, saturated and monounsaturated fatty acids.
Jojoba oil: Moisturising and nourishing.
Vitamin e: protects scalp and moisturises hair.

Olive Oil: Helps prevent loss of moisture in your skin.
Coconut Oil: Cleansing and gives the soap lather.
Shea Butter: Softens your skin. It’s a great choice for dry, damaged or eczema prone skin.
Cocoa Butter: Creates a firm bar without the use of palm oil. Gives the soap a luxurious glossy feel with added moisturising properties.
Sunflower Oil: Helps your skin retain moisture; high in Vitamin E, A, C and D.
Castor Oil: Replenishes & Hydrates skin, provides long lasting bubbles in soap.
Salt :Sodium lactate derived from beets and corn aid firmness of the soap.

Shipping:
Shipping is available within New Zealand only. We unfortunately do not offer shipping options outside of New Zealand at this stage.
Time frame for delivery is 5-8 working days.
Orders under $50 incur $6 shipping fee, Rural $8

What is your return policy?
Please e-mail Hello@baysoaps.co.nz as we work with each individual on a case-by-case basis. All claims must be received within 30 days of purchase and the product must be in an unused state when returned or unfortunately we will not be able to offer a replacement or refund.
Can I make changes to my order?
If you require changes to an order you have placed please send us a message as soon as possible. If we haven't already shipped your order out then we would be happy to make any changes for you.
